Carry On Letters in Wartime is a series of intimate letters of experiences during World War I by noted writer Coningsby Dawson. Initially the letters were not meant for publication but later Dawson saw their value as a historical document and they were collected and published in 1917. After the war ended he continued his writing career until his death at age 76 in August 1959.
