Narrative of Ethan Allen’s Captivity is a bestselling true story by Ethan Allen detailing his capture by British forces during the American Revolution and of his adjustment to being forcibly confined far away from his home. Allen survived his ordeal and later published his account in 1779 which gained him fame throughout New England. Allen died in February 1789 at age 52.
